Crousore Leads Gophers After Day One in Lake Forest

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Sophomore Jack Crousore led the University of Minnesota men's golf team with a score of 3-under-par during day one of the Windon Memorial Classic at the Knollwood Club.
Minnesota finished in 13th place with a score of 1-over-par after the first 36 holes. They went 1-over-par (289) in the first round and shot even (288) in the second as a team.
Notable Performances:
Crousore's score of 3-under-par placed him in a tie for 22nd among all players. He finished under par in both rounds, going 1-under-par (71) in the first and 2-under-par (70) in the second. He tallied six birdies throughout the day, along with an eagle during the second round on the sixth hole.
Sophomore Chun-Ta Wu's second round score of 2-under-par (70) was his final result on the day after carding an even par (72) in the first round.
Freshman Torger Ohe posted a score of 4-over-par to close the day. He finished even (72) in the first round with four birdies.
Senior Jack Wetzel participated in team competition for the first time this season, registering a score of 5-over-par. He picked up an eagle during the first round on the sixth hole and ended at even par (72) in the second round.
