NORMAN, Okla. - Minnesota men's golf earned the 2025-26 PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award from the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), the organization announced Wednesday.

The Golden Gophers earned the recognition after posting a 3.39 team GPA during the fall semester and a 3.48 GPA during the spring semester. Minnesota was one of 86 NCAA Division I programs recognized with the Team Academic Award for maintaining a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher during the 2025-26 academic year.

A GCAA-record 331 programs across six divisions were recognized for their academic achievement during the 2025-26 academic year, while 155 schools earned Presidents Special Recognition for posting a team GPA of 3.5 or higher.

The annual GCAA academic awards recognize collegiate golf programs that demonstrate excellence in the classroom while competing at a high level on the course. Minnesota's inclusion among the nation's recognized programs reflects the team's continued commitment to academic and athletic success.
