Gopher Athletics Ticketing Help & FAQ

To assist you in using your Gopher Athletics Ticketing Account with us, we encourage you to utilize the step-by-step guides and video tutorials listed below.

All tickets are mobile and can only be accessed or transferred once they are paid in full and delivered digitally by the Gopher Ticket Sales and Service Office. Season tickets will be delivered no later than one week prior to the start of the season.

Manage Your Tickets via the Gopher Sports App presented by Great Clips

Logging Into Your Gophersports.com Account via the Gopher Sports App
1. Download the FREE Gopher Sports App presented by Great Clips to your mobile device from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store

2. The most up-to-date version of the app has a maroon background with a gold M. After opening the app you may be prompted to “Get Started” and be prompted to designate What Type of Fan Are You? as well as the sports you are interested in. Please select accordingly, or feel free to skip altogether, this is not a required step to access your account.

3. Tap on the "Tickets" button on the bottom ribbon.

4. Tap on the "Manage Tickets" link.

5. Enter in your email address and click "Continue." On the next page enter your password and click "Sign In."

6. If you do not know your password click "Sign In With a Code" and you will be emailed a temporary code. You can also click "Forgot Password" to reset your password. If additional assistance is needed please contact the Gopher Ticket Office at gophersports@umn.edu or call 1-800-U-GOPHER.
Downloading Tickets via the Gopher Sports App
1. Please follow the instructions above under Logging Into Your Gophersports.com Account via the Gopher Sports App to access your account.

2. Select the game which you would like to download tickets for.

3. Tap "Add to Apple Wallet" on an iPhone, or "Save to phone" on an Android device to download the ticket to your mobile device.

4. If you have multiple tickets, you will be asked if you would like to add all tickets for that game. Be advised that if you select “Add Only This Ticket”, you will need to add each individual ticket for the game you are attending.

5. The ticket with the QR code will pop up on your screen. Press Add/Save in the top right hand corner. You will now be able to find your ticket(s) on your Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Google Wallet (Android).
 
Transferring Tickets via the Gopher Sports App
1. Please follow the instructions under Logging Into Your Gophersports.com Account via the Gopher Sports App to access your account.

2. Tap on "Transfer Tickets"

3. Select the desired game and seat(s) you would like to transfer and then click “Continue”. Be advised that you can now select multiple seats across different games, sports and parking in one transaction.

4. Enter in the phone number or the email address of the person you wish to transfer the ticket(s) to and then click "Review Transfer." Tickets cannot be transferred to yourself. For help on accessing and using tickets on your account please see above on how to download your tickets to your mobile device.

5. Review the ticket(s) you are transferring and the phone number or email address you are sending the ticket(s) to. Click on "Transfer Ticket" to finalize the transfer. The recipient will receive a text message or email with a link to accept the transfer. The recipient will have 1 week to accept the transfer.
 
Canceling a Ticket Transfer via the Gopher Sports App
1. Please follow the instructions under Logging Into Your Gophersports.com Account via the Gopher Sports App to access your account.

2. Scroll down to the bottom of your account (below any upcoming events) and tap on the active transfer under “Pending Transfers”.

3. This should open a drop-down menu. Select cancel transfer and then confirm the cancellation. Be advised that you cannot cancel part of a transfer - the full transfer must be accepted or canceled.
 
App Appearance on Game Days
Please note that on game days, the app will automatically present your upcoming tickets upon log-in. To access the rest of your account or other features, please tap on “Go Back to My Account”.

1. Go to gophersports.com/MyAccount on your mobile device.

2. Enter in your email address and click "Continue." On the next page enter your password and click "Sign In."

4. Be advised that you cannot download your tickets via a desktop web browser. You must log in to your mobile device to download tickets. See above for instructions on downloading tickets via the mobile app or mobile browser.

2. Click on “Transfer”.

3. Select the desired sport, game, and seats that you wish to transfer tickets from and click “Continue".

4. Be advised that you can now select multiple seats across different games, sports and parking in one transaction.

5. Enter in the phone number or the email address of the person you wish to transfer the ticket(s) to and click "Transfer Tickets."

6. Review the ticket(s) you are transferring and the phone number or email address you are sending the ticket(s) to. Click on "Transfer Ticket" to finalize the transfer. The recipient will receive a text message or email with a link to accept the transfer. The recipient will have 1 week to accept the transfer.

1. Please follow the instructions under Logging Into Your Gophersports.com Account via a Desktop Web Browser to access your account.

2. Underneath “My Tickets” on the right-hand side of the screen, you will see “Pending Transfers”. Click on that button.

3. This will open the pending transfer screen. Click on the transfer you are trying to cancel.

4. This should open a drop-down menu. Select cancel transfer and then confirm the cancellation.

5. Be advised that you cannot cancel part of a transfer - the full transfer must be accepted or canceled.

Accepting a Ticket Transfer via Text or Email

Accepting a Ticket Transfer via Text or Email
1. To accept a ticket transfer that has been texted or emailed to you, please open the link in your text message or email.

2. Click “Accept Transfer”.

3. Log into your gophersports.com account with your email and password. If you do not have an account with us, please create one at this time. If you have an account with us but do not know the password, select “Forgot Password” and enter your email address. A link will be sent to your email to reset your password.

4. Click on the ticket to open up the QR Code and then click “Add” to download the ticket to your mobile device. For further instructions, see drop downs above on account help and ticket management.
 

Setting Up Your Account

Note: This is for returning customers who have never signed into their Gopher Athletics Ticketing Account online.
Linking your Gopher Sports Account on any Platform
1. Go to gophersports.com/MyAccount on your preferred device.

2. Enter your email address. If your account is not linked, select the option to Sign In With a Code.

3. Enter the one-time verification code sent to your email address.

4.If you have multiple accounts, select the account you would like to link. Select the most relevant account - this should typically be the one that has tickets (if you have any), or any special type of account such as student or faculty/staff.

5. Enter a new password that you would like to use to log in going forward.

Renewing & Editing Your Season Tickets

Season Ticket Transfer Request Form
Prior to starting this form, please ensure that you have the following information ready for both the Current Season Ticket Holder (Transferor) and the New Season Ticket Holder (Transferee):
 
  • Name
  • Customer Number
  • Address
  • Phone Number
  • Email Address
  • Seat Location to be Transferred

Season tickets may be transferred from a personal account to another personal account. Tickets may only be transferred one time in one calendar year. Only direct relatives may transfer the consecutive years of season ticket history along with the tickets. Direct relatives include Parents, Children, Siblings, and Spouses. Proof of relationship may be asked for by the University of Minnesota Ticket Sales and Service Office if the transferee wishes to attain the consecutive years of season ticket history. Donation history is non transferable. No exceptions will be made.

By completing this form, both the Transferor and the Transferee agree to all the terms and conditions listed above. Notice of approval or disapproval will be provided to both parties from the University of Minnesota Ticket Sales and Service Office. All decisions made by the University of Minnesota Ticket Sales and Service Office should be considered final.

Renewing Your Gopher Season Tickets
1. To renew your season tickets, hover over Tickets at the top of the screen, then click on “Renew Season Tickets” or follow this link.

2. Log in to your gophersports.com account with your email or customer number along with the password that you created for yourself.

3. Select the desired season renewal application.

4. Review the information on your renewal application and click on “Add to Cart” once you are ready to continue to the payment screen. Make sure to indicate what payment option you would like to use and to indicate if you would like to upgrade your seats!

5. Select your delivery method and click “Checkout”.

6. Enter in your payment information and click on “Place Your Order” to finalize your renewal.
Updating Your Payment Info
1. Log into your account at gophersports.com/MyAccount with your email or customer number along with your password. If you have not yet activated your account, please reach out to the Gopher Ticket Sales and Service Office for your customer number and pin. The Ticket Sales and Service Office can be reached via email at GopherSports@umn.edu or by phone at 1-800-U-GOPHER.

2. Once logged into your account, click “Payment Schedules”

  3. To change the expiration date on your current card, click “Update expiration date” and enter in the new month and year with the drop down menus.

4. To change the card on file for your payment plan, click “change payment method” then “Add new credit card”.

  5. Enter in the new card information and click “Add Card” to apply it to your payment plan.

Mobile Tickets FAQ
 

Why did we switch to mobile ticketing?

Flexibility. Mobile ticketing has allowed us to push back renewal deadlines giving fans more time to financially plan for the season.
Eliminating Waste. Mobile ticketing has allowed us to eliminate paper waste as well as cutting down on printing costs and fees.
Ease of Use. Fans are now more efficiently able to manage their ticket inventory and share tickets with others without having to physically exchange paper tickets.
 

When can I access my mobile tickets?

Tickets will be available in your Gopher Athletics Ticketing Account. Season Tickets will be made available no later than 2 weeks prior to the start of the season. Single game tickets will be available upon completion of your ticket order. See drop downs above on accessing and managing your tickets.
 

How do I use my mobile tickets for entry to the venue?

Your tickets can be downloaded to your mobile device from your Gopher Athletics Ticketing Account. Upon entering the venue, please ensure that the QR code on the ticket is visible on your device so it can be scanned for entry. Please DO NOT screenshot the ticket or print the ticket off on paper as this increases the chance for duplicate tickets and could result in denied entry at the venue.
 

What if I am bringing people to the game with me?

If your group is all arriving at the venue together, all the tickets can remain on one mobile device. Once a ticket is scanned, you may swipe left on your mobile device to advance to the next ticket. If your group is arriving at the venue at different times, you are able to transfer tickets via text or email through your Gopher Athletics Ticketing Account. See above for more information on transferring tickets.
 

What if I do not have WiFi connectivity on gameday?

We strongly recommend downloading your ticket(s) to your mobile device prior to heading to the venue. Once your ticket is downloaded, you do not need internet connectivity to access it.
 

What if I do not have a smartphone?

We would recommend attending the game with someone that has the ability to download tickets to their mobile device. If this is not possible, please contact the Gopher Ticket Sales and Service Office in advance of the game for assistance. The Gopher Ticket Sales and Service Office is open Monday-Friday from 9am to 4pm and can be reached via phone at 1-800-U-GOPHER or via email at GopherSports@umn.edu.

Donation Request Policy
Guidelines

You will be notified of our decision. Due to a high volume of requests, we ask that you not follow up after submitting the donation request form. Your donation request will be denied if you fail to thoroughly describe the nature of your event and fully and completely answer the questions on the donation request form.

Due to NCAA rules, your donation request will automatically be denied if: 

  • Your organization is affiliated with a high school.
  • Your organization is a youth sports program with high school teams.
  • Your organization benefits ONLY high school-aged individuals.
  • Your organization provides funds for scholarships.
  • Your organization is politically affiliated and/or based.
  • Your donation is intended for personal use only (e.g., wedding presents, gifts for children or other family members, etc.).
