Gophers Travel to Madison for First Road Tournament

MADISON, Wis. - Minnesota men's golf travels to Madison, Wis., to compete in the Badger Invitational for its first road tournament of the season. The first round will begin at 8:15 a.m. Monday morning for the Golden Gophers. The second round will continue immediately following the first round. The final round on Tuesday will open at 8.00 a.m.
Senior Cormac Sharpe looks to continue his strong start to the season after finishing 3-under-par at the 2nd Swing Gopher Invitational two weeks ago.

The Field:
Fourteen teams will compete over the next two days. Minnesota and Wisconsin are the only B1G teams participating in the tournament. Other teams include DePaul, Green Bay, Illinois State, Northern Illinois, Oakland, Southern Illinois, Southern Mississippi, Toledo, UTSA, VCU, Valparaiso, and Xavier.
Gophers' Lineup:
Sharpe, along with sophomores Jack Crousore and Chun-Ta Wu, and freshmen Torger Ohe and Joe Honsa will compete in team competition. Senior Jack Wetzel, sophomore Ryan Stendahl, and junior Kyler Schwamb will participate as individuals.

The Badger Invitational will take place at TPC Wisconsin in Madison, Wis. This course reopened in August 2023 following a recent renovation. TPC Wisconsin scores as a par-71 while measuring 7,226 yards of play.
