Gophers Conclude Fall Season with Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational

VERO BEACH, Fla. - The University of Minnesota men's golf team concludes its fall season in Vero Beach, Fla., for the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational Oct. 19-20. The first round will begin around 7:00 a.m. CT on Sunday, followed immediately by the second round. The final round will open at 7:30 a.m. CT on Monday morning.
Senior Jack Wetzel looks to build off his top ten finish two weeks ago at the Marquette Intercollegiate, shooting 5-over-par with nine birdies throughout the three-day tournament.

The Field:
Sixteen teams will compete over the next two days. Minnesota is a part of the six Big Ten Conference teams participating, including Indiana, Maryland, Northwestern, Penn State, and Rutgers. Other teams include Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Kansas, Liberty, Marquette, Memphis, Northern Illinois, North Florida, UNC-Greensboro, and South Florida.
Gophers' Lineup:
Sophomores Jack Crousore and Chun-Ta Wu, Wetzel, and freshmen Torger Ohe and Joe Honsa will compete in team competition over the next two days.

The Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational will take place at Quail Valley Golf & River Club in Vero Beach, Fla. The course opened in 2002, where it has hosted various USGA and FSGA championships. The course scores at a par-72 while covering 7,401 yards.
