BEMIDJI, Minn. – Senior Meghan Lorence (Mounds View, Minn.) recorded her 100th career point as the No. 2 Gopher women's hockey team wrapped up the regular season with a 4-2 win over Bemidji State Saturday afternoon.

Sophomores Megan Wolfe (Eagan, Minn.) and Dani Cameranesi (Plymouth, Minn.) and junior Maryanne Menefee (Lansing, Mich.) each recorded two points on one goal and one assist to lead Minnesota (29-2-4, 22-2-4-2 WCHA) in the win. For the series, Cameranesi led all players with four points as the Gophers came away with a sweep after a 3-2 win Friday.

Redshirt freshman Sidney Peters (Geneva, Ill.) made 19 saves and improved to 5-0-1 on the season. Meanwhile, the Beavers received 29 saves from goaltender Brittni Mowat as Minnesota outshot BSU, 33-21.

BSU scored first for the second-straight game, but the Gophers responded with three goals to take a 3-1 lead early in the third period. The Beavers cut the lead to one and then had seven minutes on the power play to tally the equalizer, but the Gophers limited scoring chances and eventually iced the win with a fourth goal in the final minute.

"It was another hard-fought win here tonight," head coach Brad Frost said. "I'm really proud of our kids for coming on the road against a very good team. To get down early both nights and then come back strong in the second period was great. We had to fight through a little adversity in the third, but I thought everybody did a great job.

"Sid was very good in net, and I'm proud of her to get the win. Overall, the regular season is done and I'm super excited with how everything finished up and how we played. Now it's on to the second season."

Bemidji State(18-14-1, 13-13-1-1 WCHA) took a 1-0 lead just 1:59 into the game on a goal by Kristine Grenier, who buried a feed from Hanna Moher and Summer Thibodeau.

Wolfe put the Gophers on the board midway through the second period when she fired a shot past Mowat with 12:52 to go in the middle frame. Junior Hannah Brandt (Vadnais Heights, Minn.) and Menefee picked up assists on the game-tying goal.

The Gophers then took their first lead of the game on their first power play of the series. Lorence scored a power-play goal, marking her 100th point as a Gopher, off a feed from sophomore Kate Schipper (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) and senior Rachael Bona (Coon Rapids, Minn.) at 11:16 of the second.

Menefee extended Minnesota's lead to two with a goal just 1:24 into the third period, but BSU's Kristin Huber responded less than five minutes later to make it 3-2 with 13:54 remaining.

The Gophers killed off back-to-back penalties late in the third period, including a five-minute major with 12:01 remaining. Minnesota held the Beavers to just three shots on goal during seven minutes on the power play. BSU pulled Mowat in the final minute, but Cameranesi iced the win with an empty-net goal before Mowat got to the bench.

Minnesota returns home to Ridder Arena next weekend to begin the 2015 postseason. The Gophers host Minnesota State in the WCHA First Round best-of-three series at 7 p.m. CT Friday, Feb. 27 and 4 p.m. CT Saturday, Feb. 28. If necessary, game three is scheduled for 4 p.m. CT Sunday, March 1.
