Five Gophers Named to U.S., Canadian Select Teams

MINNEAPOLIS – Five members of the Minnesota women's hockey program have been selected to represent the United States and Canada in a pair of three-game series in Richmond, British Columbia, from Aug. 12-15.
Bella Fanale, Madison Kaiser and Ava Lindsay were named to the U.S. Collegiate Women's Select Team, while Chloe Primerano earned a spot on Canada's National Women's Development Team and incoming freshman Adrianna Milani was selected to Canada's National Women's Under-18 Team.
Fanale, Kaiser and Lindsay are three of 25 players selected to represent the United States. Minnesota is tied for second among all college programs with three representatives on the U.S. roster.
The trio returns to the U.S. squad after competing in the series last August.
Primerano was selected as one of 22 players to Canada's National Women's Development Team following the country's selection camp in Richmond. The Canadian roster features two goaltenders, seven defenders and 13 forwards.
Milani was named to Canada's 22-player National Women's Under-18 Team. The incoming Gopher is one of six players on the roster who helped Canada earn silver at the 2026 IIHF Under-18 Women's World Championship.
The U.S. Collegiate Women's Select Team and Canada's National Women's Development Team will meet in three games, while the U.S. Under-18 Women's Select Team and Canada's National Women's Under-18 Team will also face off in a three-game series.
All six games will be played at the Richmond Olympic Oval from Aug. 12-15.
