Golden Gophers Begin 2026-27 Season at ANNIKA Intercollegiate in Lake Elmo

LAKE ELMO, Minn. – The University of Minnesota is set to compete at the ANNIKA Foundation Intercollegiate. The home turf event will take place at The Royal Golf Club in Lake Elmo, Minn., September 7-9.
The Maroon and Gold will be joined by 11 other programs for the three-day competition. The event will consist of 54 holes of stroke play; 18 holes per day. Play for rounds one and two will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. CT Monday and Tuesday. The third and final round is slated to begin at 8:30 a.m. CT Wednesday. Lineup:
The Gophers lineup will include senior Luisamariana Mesones, junior Reese McCauley, freshman Rose Solberg, sophomore Emree Cameron, and sophomore Lauryn Finley.
The Field:
Minnesota will tee off against Virginia, Wake Forest, Missouri, UCLA, South Carolina, Houston, USC, Oregon, Auburn, North Carolina, and Kansas State.
The Course:
The Royal Golf Course plays at par-72. The tournament features a 6,267-yard course designed by Annika Sörenstam and Arnold Palmer. This is the eighth time The Royal Golf Club will host this event.
