Last Time Out
On Aug. 27, the Golden Gophers put up a strong defensive performance on the road but saw a narrow 1-0 loss to No. 15 BYU. Goalkeeper Sarah Martin recorded five saves to keep Minnesota level through most of the night. The deciding moment came in the 78th minute when an unlucky defensive deflection inside the box resulted in an unassisted own goal for BYU, handing Minnesota its first loss of the season.

Minnesota bounced back at home on Aug. 30 with a dominant 2-1 victory over St. Thomas at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium. The Gophers controlled the pace, generating a 27-3 shooting advantage and earning 14 corner kicks while keeping St. Thomas without a single corner. Ellen Neuharth opened the scoring in the 20th minute off a setup from Hailee Christensen, and Caroline Birdsell doubled the lead early in the second half following a corner kick routine. The Tommies put one back in the 56th minute.

The Tigers in Town
Led by fifth year head coach Keri Sanchez, the Tigers hold a 2-2-2 record on the season so far. Colorado College returns its two top goal scorers from 2025 in All-Pacific Region player Kendall Memoly (six goals, 13 points) and Finley Schoenbeck (four goals, 11 points).

The Tigers were selected to finish fifth out of 11 teams in the Mountain West. They've picked up two wins this season over Creighton and Drake. Before returning home on Sept. 13, the Tigers will have played five-straight road games.
