Minnesota Splits Squad at the Gopher Invitational and the Husker Invitational

MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota tennis team will continue its 2026 fall season as the team splits action at the Gopher Invitational and the Husker Invitational this weekend.
The 14th annual Gopher Invitational is set for Sept. 25–27 at Baseline Tennis Center, with doubles matches beginning at 9 a.m. (CT) each day. Play at the Husker Invitational also runs Sept. 25–27 in Lincoln, Neb.
Gopher Invitational Information
The Gophers will host six teams on campus this weekend: St. Thomas, Marquette, Northern Illinois, Northern Iowa, Milwaukee and Drake.
The schedule includes two doubles matches and one singles match Friday and Saturday, and one doubles and one singles match Sunday. Doubles will be one regular set with no-ad scoring, and singles will be two tiebreak sets with a 10-point match tiebreak if the sets are split.
Competing for Minnesota are 5th year Anali Kocevar, senior Anlin Xie, junior Kamea Medora and freshman Leina Gao.
Husker Invitational Information
Three Gophers have been invited to compete at the Husker Invitational. Senior Mia Liepert, junior Nora Knezevic and freshman Ksenia Hanke. Start time is scheduled for 9 a.m.
