Soukup Lands on Watch List for Patrick Mannelly Award

University of Minnesota long snapper Alan Soukup was named to the Patrick Mannelly Award watch list today, which recognizes the top long snapper in the nation. Soukup is one of 20 individuals on the list.
Soukup enters his third year as the team's primary long snapper. He has snapped 238 times (72 PATs, 49 FGs and 117 punts) in 26 career games. He has also made two tackles and recovered one fumble.
Soukup and the rest of the Gophers kick off the 2026 season on Thursday, Sept. 3 against Eastern Illinois at Huntington Bank Stadium.
