‘U’ Adds Transfer Emree Cameron

MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Minnesota women's golf team announced the signing of Emree Cameron, a transfer from the University of Louisville. Cameron will join the Golden Gophers as a sophomore in the upcoming 2026-27 season. 

"We are very excited to welcome Emree to the Gopher family," said Head Coach Matt Higgins. "Her work ethic, talent, and personality is everything we look for with someone who joins our team!"

Cameron is a native of Nevada, Mo., and attended Nevada High School before beginning her collegiate career at Louisville. During her high school campaign, she was a two-time Missouri State High School Champion, four-time district champion, and a four-time All-State honoree. She was named a 2024 USA Today Top 25 High School Golfer and was the 2024 AJGA Mizuno Junior Champion. 

As a freshman with the Cardinals, Cameron competed in seven tournaments tallying a 75.60 stroke average over 20 rounds on the season. She secured one top-10 finish and two top-20 finishes during her first collegiate campaign. Her season-best individual finish occurred at the Riverbend Intercollegiate with an 8th-place finish, and a season-low 54-hole score of 219.
