Wu Earns Top-10 Finish at Big Ten Championships in Oregon

NORTH PLAINS, Ore. - Sophomore Chun-Ta Wu tied for ninth place after Sunday's final round of the 2026 Big Ten Conference Championships, helping Minnesota tie for ninth place with Northwestern.
The Golden Gophers finished with an overall score of 18-over-par (858), including a final-round score of 5-over-par (285).
UCLA earned its second-straight, B1G title with a score of 8-under-par. Individually, Josh Kim of UCLA recorded the best mark of 8-under-par among the field.
Notable Performances:
Wu carded an overall score of 1-under-par (209), including a final-round score of 2-under-par (68). The sophomore picked up three birdies during the final 18 holes, adding to his total of eight to secure his third top-10 finish of the season. This is the second-consecutive year a Gopher has placed inside the top 10 of the leaderboard at the Big Ten Conference Championships, as sophomore Jack Crousore finished seventh among the field last year in Baltimore, Md.
This year, Crousore registered a third-round score of 3-over-par (73), finishing the three-day event with a total score of 2-over-par (212). He gathered three of his 12 birdies during the final round, helping him tie for 17th overall to record his fifth top-20 finish of the season.
Freshman Joe Honsa shot even during the final round, concluding with a final score of 7-over-par (217). He accumulated nine birdies during his championship debut, tying for 40th place among all golfers.
Torger Ohe penciled a round score of 4-over-par (74) for the second-straight day, ending the tournament with a score of 10-over-par (220). The freshman tied for 55th place, picking up 11 birdies throughout 54 holes of golf.
Senior Cormac Sharpe collected a total score of 13-over-par (223) to tie for 69th place. He totaled five of his nine birdies in the third round, shooting 4-over-par (74) on Sunday afternoon.
