Minnesota Closes Fall Schedule at Quail Valley Collegiate

VERO BEACH, Fla. – The University of Minnesota men's golf team closes out its fall schedule at the Quail Valley Collegiate, hosted by the University of South Florida at Quail Valley Golf Club in Vero Beach, Fla. The two-day tournament runs Oct. 18-19 and features a 15-team field.
Competition begins Sunday with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. CT for 36 holes. The tournament concludes Monday with the final 18 holes, beginning with an 8:30 a.m. CT shotgun start. Live scoring will be available throughout the event.
The Golden Gophers are returning to action following a runner-up finish at the Moraine Invitational, where junior Chun-Ta Wu claimed individual medalist honors. Minnesota will look to carry that momentum into its final tournament of the fall season against a competitive field.
Lineup
Minnesota's lineup for the Quail Valley Collegiate consists of juniors Jack Crousore and Chun-Ta Wu, sophomores Joe Honsa and Torger Ohe, and freshman Landon Houska.
Competing as an individual for the Gophers will be freshman Finlay Galloway.
The Field
The Gophers will compete against Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Liberty, Marquette, Maryland, Memphis, Michigan State, Nebraska, UNC Greensboro, Northern Illinois, Penn State, Rutgers, South Florida, and Kansas.
The Course
Quail Valley Golf Club is located in Vero Beach, Fla., and features a par-72 layout measuring 7,460 yards. Designed by Tommy Fazio II and Nick Price, the course is divided into two balanced halves and features four par-3s, 10 par-4s, and four par-5s.
The course challenges players with its strategically designed layout and notoriously tricky putting surfaces. Complex runoff areas around the greens penalize imprecise approach shots, placing an emphasis on accuracy and control throughout the tournament.

Following the conclusion of the Quail Valley Collegiate, Minnesota will wrap up its fall season and turn its attention to the spring schedule. The Golden Gophers are scheduled to open the spring season Feb. 7-9, 2027, at the Purdue Tropical Collegiate in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, at La Cana Golf Club.
