ROSEMONT, Ill.– The Big Ten Conference announced Thursday that Minnesota junior Chun-Ta Wu has been named B1G Men's Golfer of the Week following an outstanding performance at the Moraine Invitational in Kettering, Ohio, where he claimed individual medalist honors with a tournament-best final round on Tuesday.
Wu finished the tournament at 6-under-par, posting rounds of 71, 71 and 65 for a 54-hole total of 207. He closed out the tournament with a bogey-free final round, recording six birdies to secure the individual title.
The performance marked another strong showing for Wu, who helped lead the Golden Gophers to a runner-up finish at the Moraine Invitational. Minnesota climbed the leaderboard with a final-round team score of 281 (-3), finishing second overall at 9-over-par.
Wu's final-round 65 was the lowest round of the tournament and helped the Gophers finish strong against the field at Moraine Country Club. It is the second time he has earned a weekly award from the league after picking up the honor in March 2026.
