No. 53 Minnesota Drops 4-0 Decision to Kansas State

MANHATTAN, Kan. - The No. 53 ranked University of Minnesota tennis team fell to Kansas State 4-0 on Sunday afternoon, dropping to 7-4 on the season.
 
Key Moments
Kansas State claimed the doubles point, winning courts two and one after Minnesota took the first match off on court three. Jeselle Ante and Yinong Ma earned a 6-0 victory over Sasha Kyselova and Chanel Rustenmova at the third position. Mia Liepert and Sofia Pinto fell 6-3 to Varvara Bernovich and Diana Smolinska on court two to even the point. Nora Knezevic and Arina Valitova then dropped a 6-4 decision to No. 55 Maragloo Chogsomjav and Martaa Chogsomjav at the top spot to secure the doubles point for Kansas State.

Kansas State clinched the team match with three singles victories. At No. 2, Aiva Schmitz fell to Martaa Chogsomjav 6-0, 6-3. Jeselle Ante dropped a 6-1, 3-6, 6-1 decision to Maragloo Chogsomjav at No. 1, and Mia Liepert was defeated 7-6, 6-2 by Sasha Kyselova at No. 3.
