Five men and five women's track and field student-athletes earned the distinction.

MINNEAPOLIS – Ten student-athletes from the University of Minnesota have earned spots on the 2024-25 Academic All-District Men's and Women's At-Large Teams, College Sports Communicators announced Tuesday.

Representing the women were Ali Weimer, Dyandra Gray, Erin Reidy, Diarra Sow and Hadley Streit. On the men's side, Emmett Gerres, Spencer Brown, Isaiah Schafer, Aidan Jones and Lucas Florsheim were all chosen to represent Minnesota.

Of Minnesota's All-District 10 honorees, all five women will now be considered for CSC's Academic All-America honors with both Schafer and Florsheim moving on on the men's side. The CSC Academic All-America honorees will be announced on July 15 for the women and July 16 for the men.

To be considered for a CSC Academic All-District Team, nominees must have met the following criteria:
  • Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and must be enrolled at their institution at the time of nomination either as undergraduates or graduate students.
  • Student-athletes who have graduated from their own institution during the current academic year and are not competing in athletics at another institution at the time of nomination are eligible.
  • An undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), while a graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as both an undergraduate and a grad student unless they are in their first semester as a graduate student and don't have an established graduate GPA.
  • Each nominee must have also competed in a certain number of games/matches/tournaments this year, depending on the sport.
