Miller Named Regional Assistant Coach of the Year for Ninth Time

Associate Head Coach mentored 2026 weight throw national champion Anthonett Nabwe
University of Minnesota Associate Head Coach Peter Miller was named the Midwest Region Women's Assistant Coach of the Year by the USTFCCCA today.
For Miller, the regional honor is the ninth of his career in his 13th season at Minnesota. Miller coached Anthonett Nabwe and Hadley Streit to All-American finishes at the recent NCAA Indoor Championships.
Nabwe won the national championship in the weight throw with a mark of 25.13 meters (82-5.5 feet). The throw set a new personal-best and ranked as the third best throw in NCAA history and as the tenth best performance in world history.
Streit finished ninth in weight throw to earn Second-Team All-American honors with a throw of 21.60 meters (70-10.5 feet).
