MINNEAPOLIS- The Gopher baseball team returns to Siebert Field for a Big Ten series versus the USC Trojans April 25-27.
Last Time Out
- Minnesota picked up the 2-1 series on the road at Rutgers. The Gophers won 3-2 on Friday, and 8-4 on Saturday, before falling 12-6 in the series finale on Sunday.
- The Trojans are currently 26-14 overall and 11-7 in the Big Ten.
- Junior Ethan Hedges leads the USC offense, slashing .377/.708/.490.
- Andy Stankiewicz is in his third season at the helm of the program after spending 11 seasons at Grand Canyon.
Opponent Series History
- The Gophers and Trojans first faced off in 1960 and most recently in 1989. This series will be the first time these two programs have met in over 30 years. Back in 1989 the Gophers picked up the 13-9 win over the Trojans, who were ranked seventh at the time.
What's on Deck
- Minnesota will play its final midweek games of the season April 29th and 30th. The Gophers will host NDSU April 29th at Siebert Field before heading across the river to St. Paul to play St. Thomas April 30th.
- Following the midweek games the Gophers will head to Nebraska for a Big Ten Series May 2nd-4th.
