Maroon and Gold Conclude Play At Hawkeye Invitational Monday

MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota men's golf team concluded the final round of the Hawkeye Invitational Monday at Finkbine Golf Course in Iowa City, Iowa.
The Gophers finished the 54-hole tournament with a score of 15-over par (292-290-297 –879). Kansas took home the team title with a score of 27-under par. The Jayhawks' own Will King earned medalist honors, nabbing a score of 9-under.
Notable:
Freshman Jack Crousore continued his season-long success, earning his third top-20 finish in his last three tournaments. Crousore concluded the tournament tied for 19th place with a score of 4-over par (74-70-76).
Competing as an individual, sophomore Kyler Schwamb earned his career-best finish with a 26th place finish. Schwamb nabbed a score of 5-over par (72-70-79) for the 54-hole tournament.
Freshman Chun-Ta Wu carded five birdies in his final round. Wu (76-77-69) finished in a tie for 27th place with a score of 7-over par. Senior Bennett Swavley (74-74-74) nabbed three birdies in his final round, finishing tied with Wu at 7-over par.
Senior Eduardo Galdos (71-74-78) and junior Jack Wetzel (73-72-78) concluded the tournament with a score of 7-over par and tied for 34th.

The Maroon and Gold will travel to Columbus, Ohio, April 18-19 to compete in the Robert Kepler Invitational at the Ohio State Scarlet Course.
