Three Gophers Inside Top 20 After 36 Holes of Robert Kepler Invitational

MINNEAPOLIS - Three members of the University of Minnesota men's golf team sit tied for 20th place after the first 36 holes, Friday at the Robert Kepler Invitational in Columbus, Ohio.Ā Ā 

The Gophers finished the day in seventh-place, with a score of 32-over par (300-300). Big Ten Rival Nebraska holds the lead after 36 holes with a score of 21-over par.Ā 

Notable:Ā 
Seniors Eduardo Galdos (74-76) and Bennett Swavely (77-73), along with junior Jack Wetzel (76-74), all concluded the first two rounds of competition tied for 20th with a score of 8-over par.Ā 

Competing as an individual, sophomore Kyler Schwamb (78-74) carded five birdies through his first 36 holes of competition. Schwamb currently sits tied for 35th place with a score of 10-over par.Ā 

Freshman Jack Crousore (73-81) concluded the first two rounds of competition tied for 45th, with a score of 12-over par. Fellow freshman Chun-Ta Wu (78-77) finished the day one shot back of Crousore, tied for 52nd.Ā
