Gophers’ McCauley Inside Top 15 After 18 Holes of Briars Creek Invitational

John's Island, S.C. - University of Minnesota junior Isabella McCauley leads the Gophers Sunday through the first 18 holes of the Briars Creek Invitational in John's Island, S.C.
The Gophers concluded the first 18 holes of play with a score of 20-over par, and in 14th place overall. No. 6 Florida State leads the team competition with a score of 6-under par.
Notable:
McCauley carded three birdies in her first round of competition. The Gopher junior finished the day in a three-way tie for sixth place overall, with a 1-under 71.
Sophomore Mariana Mesones nabbed three birdies in her first round. Mesones concluded the day tied for 47th with a 4-over 76.
Junior Ruby Chi finished her first 18 holes tallying three birdies. Chi ended the day with a score of 79 and in a tie for 73rd.
Sophomore Sara Tomaszewski finished the first round with a score of 10-over par and tied for 88th, with freshman Reese McCauley ending the first round one shot back of Tomaszewski at 11-over par.
Madison Le (80) and Jordana Windhorst-Knudsen (88) both competed as individuals.
