McCauley Lands Top Five Finish At Briars Creek Invitational

JOHN'S ISLAND, S.C. - University of Minnesota junior Isabella McCauley earned a top-five finish Tuesday at the Briars Creek Invitational.
The Maroon and Gold finished the 36-hole tournament tied for 14th place with a team score of 35-over par (308-303–611).
No. 6 Florida State won the team competition with a score of 9-under par. The Seminole's own Mirabel Ting, the third-ranked college golfer in the nation, earned medalist honors with a score of 11-under par.
Notable:
McCauley carded five birdies in her final 18 holes of competition. Her final round of 69 placed her tied for fifth-place for the 36-hole tournament with a score of 4-under par (71-69). McCauley's fifth-place finish is her fifth top-ten finish of the 2024-25 season.
Sophomore Mariana Mesones nabbed four birdies across her 36 hole tournament. Mesones finished the tournament tied for 73rd with a score of 13-over par (76-80)
Freshman Reese McCauley concluded the tournament tied for 82nd (83-76), and sophomore Sara Tomaszewski finished tied for 87th (82-78).
Competing as an individual, junior Madison Le finished tied for 91st (80-81), with fellow junior Ruby Chi finishing tied for 92nd (79-83). Also competing as an individual, freshman Jordana Windhorst-Knudsen finished in 99th (88-83).

The Maroon and Gold will travel to St. Augustine, Fla., March 31- April 1 to compete in the Coach Mo Classic.
