MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota men's golf team wrapped up its first 36 holes Sunday at the Colleton River Collegiate.

The Gophers finished the first two rounds of competition in 16th place with a team score of 26-over par (314-298). Big Ten rival and host-Michigan State leads the team competition with a score of 2-under par.

Notable:
Freshman Chun-Ta Wu leads the Maroon and Gold after 36 holes. Wu tallied 4 birdies in his first day of competition, concluding the day tied for 53rd with a score of 9-over par (78-75).

Senior Eduardo Galdos (74-80) and freshman Jack Crousore (79-75) finished the first two rounds one shot back of Wu, tied for 55th with a score of 10-over par.

Junior Cormac Sharpe (83-72) concluded the first 36 holes tied for 62nd with a score of 11-over par, while fellow junior Jack Wetzel (83-76) ended his day tied for 77th.
