EUGENE, ORE.- The Minnesota Gophers (7-10, 1-4 Big Ten) fell 4-2 to the No. 9 Oregon Ducks (17-3, 5-0 Big Ten) Saturday afternoon.
Kyle Remington got the start for the Gophers throwing 6.1 innings, with six strikeouts but will take the loss.
Jake Elbeery led the Gopher offense with one hit and one RBI.

EUGENE, ORE.- The Minnesota Gophers (7-10, 1-4 Big Ten) fell 4-2 to the No. 9 Oregon Ducks (17-3, 5-0 Big Ten) Saturday afternoon.
Kyle Remington got the start for the Gophers throwing 6.1 innings, with six strikeouts but will take the loss.
Jake Elbeery led the Gopher offense with one hit and one RBI.
How it Happened
- The Gophers got on the board first in the third after an error by the Ducks allowed Sam Hunt to score. Hunt reached base on a single.
- Oregon scored once in the bottom of the fifth off a sacrifice fly.
- Oregon then took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the seventh after back-to-back doubles and an RBI single.
- The Ducks brought one more across in the bottom of the eight to make the score 4-1.
- The Gophers got one back in the top of the ninth when Brayden Hellum hit a lead off double and came around to score on Jake Elbeery's RBI single.
Game Notes
- Hellum, Elbeery, Knoll, Sutherland, and Hunt each recorded one hit.
- Brayden Hellum picked up his seventh double of the season, which is a team high.
