Minnesota Falls to Kansas Wednesday Afternoon

MINNEAPOLIS- Junior Easton Richter went 1-for-4 with a double for the Minnesota Golden Gophers in a 29-1 loss to the Kansas Jayhawks on Wednesday.
Freshman Luke Ryerse (0-1) got the ball to start for Minnesota (7-8, ) and took the loss.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Golden Gophers got the scoring started early, putting one run on the board in the bottom the first inning with the game still scoreless. Sophomore Jack Spanier came across to score the lone run of the inning for Minnesota and get them on the board. The Golden Gophers were unable to hold the lead, as Kansas scored 29 times over the remaining six innings to grab the 29-1 win.
