Galdos Inside Top Twenty After 36 Holes Of Puerto Rico Classic

MINNEAPOLIS - Senior Eduardo Galdos leads the University of Minnesota men's golf team after the first 36 holes Tuesday at the Puerto Rico Classic at Grand Reserve Golf Club in Rio Grande, P.R.
The Maroon and Gold finish the first 36 holes in 10th place with a score of 2-under par (286-288). Big Ten rival and host-Purdue leads the team competition at 28-under par (274-274).
Notable:
Galdos carded six birdies in his second round. His impressive play shined on the par-5 holes, collecting a score of 3-under on those holes. The Gopher senior nabbed a 4-under 68 on Tuesday to place him in a tie for 16th place with a score of 5-under par through 36 holes.
Senior Bennett Swavely collected two birdies in his second round. Swavely currently sits tied for 32nd with a score of 1-under par.
Freshman Chun-Ta Wu sits just one shot behind Swavely. The Gopher freshman carded four birdies in his second round, placing him in a tie for 41st with a score of even-par.
Junior Cormac Sharpe ended his day tied for 66th, with a score of 4-over par (74-74), while freshman Jack Crousore sits in a tie for 78th with a score of 7-over par (76-75).
