Big Ten Distinguished Scholar Award
Academic All-Big Ten
• Competed in four regattas in her first season with the Gophers
• Ended the year by winning the 2N8 Petite Finals at the Big Ten Conference Championships (May 18) after placing fourth in the heats to begin the competition (May 17)
• Closed the Big Ten Invitational (Apr. 18-19) in Sarasota, Fla., with a win on the 2N8 boat after finishing third in the regatta's opening two sessions
• Claimed a race win against Iowa and Kansas on the 2N8 boat to begin the Big 12/Big Ten Double Duel (Apr. 11)
• Made her collegiate debut as part of the 1N8 crew at the season-opening Head of the Mississippi Regatta (Oct. 5) and finished first in the Collegiate Freshman 8+ race
PERSONAL
• Daughter of Craig Peterson
• Father, Craig, played hockey at Army-West Point in the class of 1992
• Has an older sister, Sophia, and four younger brothers, Sebastian, George, Elliott, and Henry
• Graduated from Hermantown High School in 2021
• Went to high school with current Gophers' rower Emilie Rish
• Was a four-sport student-athlete for the Hawks, earning letters in Nordic skiing, track and field, cross country, and volleyball
• Named to the All-Lake Superior Conference Team five times in track and field, three times in Nordic skiing, and once for cross country
• Competed with the Duluth Rowing Club in 2019
• Has completed two marathons
• Servers as a photographer with the Air National Guard
• Likes to paint, travel, be outdoors, and spend time with family and friends in her free time
• Chose to attend the University of Minnesota because of "the endless opportunities and to surround myself with such a diverse group of supportive people"
