Fall Schedule Released for 'U' Rowing

Gophers begin 2026-27 at home Oct. 3
MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota rowing team announced its three fall dates for the 2026-27 campaign on Thursday.
The Golden Gophers open the season on campus Oct. 3 at the 46th Annual Head of the Mississippi Regatta where the Maroon and Gold get a chance to launch their crews from the Irene Claudia Kroll Boathouse. The event is hosted by the Minneapolis Rowing Club and features a nearly three-mile racecourse beginning near the Lake Street Bridge.
The fall continues as Minnesota heads east for a Halloween scrimmage with rival Wisconsin at Lake Mendota on Oct. 31.
In the final competition of their fall portion of the schedule, the Gophers make the trip to Virginia for a fourth-straight season where they will race in the Rivanna Romp. The regatta will take place at the UVA Boathouse in Earlysville, Va., on Nov. 8.
