Finished 15th overall at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 10000m in a school record time of 32:42.31... Earned a spot on the Academic All-Big Ten team... Named one of Minnesota's 35 Big Ten Distinguished Scholars, a distinction given to student-athletes who maintained a 4.0 GPA during the 2024-25 academic year... Named to the Academic All-District team by the College Sports Communicators (CSC)... Became the first Gopher woman to win the Big Ten Freshman of the Year award since 2000 when Darja Vasiljeva won it for the Gophers... Finished ninth at the U20 USATF National Cross Country Championships in Mechanicsville, Virginia in a time of 20:53.00, the third-fastest time of her freshman season... Was named the USTFCCCA All-Region team for her finish at the NCAA Midwest Regional... Also was named an NCAA Division I All-Academic individual for her finish at the NCAA Midwest Regional as well as having a qualifying GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale... HIGH SCHOOL: Minnesota kept another talented Minnesotan home in the form of Ali Weimer out of Saint Michael, Minn... The 2021 Minnesota State Champion in cross country, Weimer brings in outstanding times of 17:03 in the 5K along with a 4:49.93 in the 1600m on the track and a 10:21.41 in the 3200m... Weimer has placed among the top 10 finishers at every state meet going back to her eighth grade season and her times this past season were the fastest by any individual in the state of Minnesota in 2021... This past season on the track she finished with a bronze medal at the Class AAA 3200m final in Minnesota and finished fourth in the 1600m.
