Played high school basketball at St Monica Prep and a three-year varsity starter • Santa Fe First Team All-League in back-to-back seasons (junior and senior seasons) • senior season helped lead the team to its first league championship in over a decade • finished high school career as St. Monica Prep's all-time leading three-point scorer • averaged 11.1 ppg his senior season and shot 43.8 percent from the field, including a 40.8 percent three-point clip • selected to participate in the Sunkist Encore All-Star Game and the three-point contest following his senior year • named St Monica Prep's Student Athlete of the Year at his high school graduation, which placed him in the school's athletic hall of fame.
