Big Ten Announces Men's Basketball League Slate

The Big Ten Conference office has announced the men's basketball conference schedule for the 2026-27 season. The Gophers welcome 10 B1G opponents to The Barn by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota in the upcoming campaign. Times and television designations for the full Minnesota schedule will be available at a later date.
Minnesota opens the Big Ten season with four of its first six contests on the road. The Golden Gophers open the Big Ten season on Dec. 2 at Michigan State in East Lansing, Mich., and host Illinois on Dec. 8 at the Barn. Following the completion of the nonconference schedule, Minnesota returns to league action on Jan. 3 when it travels to Northwestern. The Maroon and Gold return to the Barn to host Penn State on Jan. 6 before hitting the road for two games on Jan. 9 at Wisconsin and Jan. 12 at Michigan.
The Gophers are home for back-to-back games against Purdue (Jan. 17) and Indiana (Jan. 20) before traveling to Piscataway, N.J., to take on Rutgers Jan. 23. The 'U' closes out the month of January hosting Washington (Jan. 26) and the Badgers (Jan. 31).
Minnesota travels west for a pair of games against USC and UCLA, Feb. 6 and Feb. 9. Following the West Coast swing, The Gophers are home for three straight: Feb. 13 vs. Oregon, Feb. 16 vs. Michigan and Feb. 21 vs. Northwestern. They close out the month at Maryland (Feb. 24) and at Iowa (Feb. 27).
Minnesota's final regular-season home game features Ohio State on March 4, as the Gophers close out the regular season at Nebraska on March 7. The Big Ten Tournament follows March 10-14 in Indianapolis at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Season tickets are on sale for the Gopher men's basketball season. Single-game tickets will be available to season ticket holders beginning Monday, Sept. 21, followed by Gopher Score members on Tuesday, Sept. 22, and the general public beginning Thursday, Sept. 24. All on-sales begin at 9 a.m. CT.
