2020-21 | SENIOR SEASON
Alternate captain • skated in 27 games as a senior for the Gophers during the 2020-21 season • recorded 25 points (nine goals, 16 assists) • helped the Gophers capture the 2021 Big Ten Tournament title and earn an NCAA tournament appearance • team was 7-0-0 when he scored a goal and 15-0-0 when he tallied a point • factored into 10 deciding goals in the 20 wins he played in with four game-winning goals • notched his second career hat trick and added an assist for a four-point night in a 10-0 win over Arizona State on Jan. 21 • one of three Gopher finalists for the Senior CLASS Award • earned fourth letter.
2019-20 | JUNIOR SEASON
All-Big Ten Honorable Mention • skated in all 37 games as a junior during the 2019-20 season • recorded new career highs with 27 points and 18 assists while also adding nine goals • team was 5-1-2 when he scored a goal, 10-2-2 when he had an assist and 12-3-4 when he tallied a point • set a new career point streak and career multi-point streak at three games from Jan. 24-Jan. 31 • matched his career single-game point record twice during that streak with back-to-back three-point performances on Jan. 25 and Jan. 25 in a sweep of Ohio State • factored in the deciding goal six times on the season • led the team with a +10 rating • the 2019-20 season ended on March 12, 2020, when the Big Ten and NCAA announced they were ceasing competitions and championships because of COVID-19 public health concerns as Minnesota prepared for the Big Ten tournament semifinals • earned third letter.
2018-19 | SOPHOMORE SEASON
Skated in 36 games as a sophomore for the Maroon & Gold during the 2018-19 season • recorded new career highs for points (26), goals (14) and assists (12) • doubled his goal production in his second year with the program and nearly tripled his point production • led the Big Ten with a .226 shooting percentage (14 goals on 62 shots) and finished fifth in the NCAA in the category • recorded seven multi-point games including a pair of three-point performances • set a new career best with a nine-game point streak • notched two goals and an assist in a 7-4 win over Minnesota Duluth on Oct. 7 • posted two goals including the game winner in a 7-2 win over Michigan State on Nov. 23 • added the game-winning goal and two assists in a 9-4 win over Wisconsin on Jan. 25 (recorded five points in the series) • scored in both Big Ten quarterfinal games against Michigan including the overtime winner in a 3-2 win to open the series on March 8 • earned second letter.
2017-18 | FRESHMAN SEASON
Skated in 36 games during his first campaign with the Gophers • recorded nine points (seven goals, two assists) • made his Maroon & Gold debut in the season opener at UMD on Oct. 6, 2017 • picked up his first career hat trick in the third period of a 6-3 win over Penn State on Oct. 15, 2017 including his first career goal and point as well as the game winner • recorded a three-game point streak between Jan. 27 and Feb. 10 • earned first letter.
HIGH SCHOOL/JUNIORS
Closed out his junior career in 2017 by helping the Chicago Steel capture the organization’s first USHL Clark Cup • spent two seasons in the USHL with the Omaha Lancers and the Chicago Steel played with fellow Gopher Blake McLaughlin with the Steel • named to the 2015-16 USHL All-Rookie Second Team • competed at the 2016 USA Hockey/CCM All-American Prospects Game • previously played at Shattuck-St. Mary's and helped the program win the 2014 Toyota/USA Hockey Tier I Youth National Championship -- SSM's first national Bantam title • played with fellow Gopher Scott Reedy at Shattuck-St. Mary's.

Won a gold medal at the 2016 World Junior A Challenge with the U.S. Junior Select Team • helped the U.S. Under-18 Select Team to a runner-up finish at the 2016 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup.
PERSONAL
Native of Newport Beach, Calif. • son of Barry and Toni McManus • has two brothers, Ryan and James • joined the Gophers as the second California native to play at Minnesota in the modern era after goaltender John Blue from 1984-87.
