'U' Enhances Partnership with CCM Hockey

New jerseys launched for Gopher hockey
MINNEAPOLIS - Two of the biggest brands in the sport of college hockey, the University of Minnesota and CCM, have agreed to an enhanced partnership that now includes uniforms, making CCM Hockey the Official On-Ice Supplier of Golden Gophers men's and women's hockey.
"We are excited to strengthen our partnership with CCM with our new jersey agreement," Deputy Athletics Director Tom McGinnis said. "We appreciate their support of the tradition of our men's and women's hockey programs and look to build upon this partnership as we move forward."
After a long-standing partnership with CCM for hockey equipment, the Maroon and Gold extended the deal to cover game jerseys, practice jerseys, and socks heading into the 2025-26 campaign.
"CCM is proud to elevate our partnership with an outstanding hockey organization like the University of Minnesota," Robert Zaring, Vice President of Marketing at CCM said. "We're committed to supporting these exceptional athletes in their hockey careers by providing them with top-tier equipment and uniforms. We're excited about what the future holds for this continued collaboration with the Minnesota Golden Gophers."
The uniforms for both the men's and women's programs will feature CCM's Ultra FLEXLite fabric adding stretch for improved range of motion and made from a heavy-duty fabric with a soft glide finish that helps reduce snagging on protective equipment. They also have a double layer shoulder yoke, a double layer insert that reinforces the forearm and elbow, and a fused sleeve for added durability in a vulnerable area. The socks are made of a spandex material that augments the comfort and fit due to its stretch fit to go with an added cut resistant panel.
Minnesota will have replica options available for all three styles of men's jerseys via the Golden Gophers Fan Shop. A limited inventory of authentic jerseys will be available later this fall at 3M Arena at Mariucci and online via the Golden Gophers Fan Shop while supplies last. Replica white jerseys for the Minnesota women will be available on gameday at Ridder Arena this fall.
