2024 • REDSHIRT FRESHMAN SEASON:
Played in 30 matches, recording 0.74 kills, 1.38 digs, 0.09 blocks and 0.35 aces per set in her first year as a Gopher • Acevedo made her debut against No. 23 Baylor, going for 10 kills, an ace and seven digs (Sept. 6) • totaled three kills, five digs and an ace vs. UST (Sept. 10) • totaled two service aces with four kills and eight digs vs. LIU (Sept. 12) • totaled a career-high four service aces with seven digs vs. Auburn (Sept. 13) • tallied nine kills against UND with nine digs (Sept. 20) • totaled a career-high 12 kills in a sweep against Wisconsin (Sept. 25) • had nine kills, two aces vs. Purdue (Sept. 28) • went for five kills at Penn State (Oct. 20) • tallied an ace and two digs at Michigan State (Nov. 1) • posted two kills and two aces against Oregon (Nov. 9) • went for seven kills and a career-high 20 digs at NU (Nov. 14) • had a career-high seven service aces with 12 digs vs. Michigan (Nov. 17) • tallied seven digs at Wisconsin (Nov. 20) • totaled 10 digs with an ace vs. Iowa (Nov. 23) • went for a kill, ace and five digs against Ohio State (Nov. 29) • had two aces and two digs in her first NCAA Tournament match vs. WKU (Dec. 5) • had three aces and four digs at Kentucky (Dec. 6).
PRIOR TO MINNESOTA:
Acevedo redshirted at the University of Oregon in 2023. She'll have all four years of eligibility left to compete at Minnesota.
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB:
2022-23 Idaho Gatorade Player of the Year • in her senior year of high school, she led the Skyview Hawks (22-5) to their third consecutive 4A state championship, recording 339 kills, 151 digs and 33 blocks and a .400 hitting percentage • she had 26 kills and three blocks in the championship match • was also named Idaho’s 4A Player of the Year by coaches in the state and was rated as the No. 13 recruit in the Class of 2024 by PrepVolleyball.com • Acevedo stepped into the national spotlight at the GEICO Volleyball Invitational and responded with 42 kills in the two-match showcase • in the weekend opener against Papillion-La Vista South (Neb.), she had a season-high 27 kills, nine digs and three blocks.
PERSONAL:
The daughter of Nada and Eric Acevedo, she also has a younger brother, Jovan • her mom played basketball in college at Southern Oregon University • in high school, she was a 4.0 GPA student who has volunteered locally on behalf of multiple charitable organizations, including the Family Access Network and the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program • she also served as a buddy/mentor for her brother at the Idaho Special Olympics • she is undecided on what her major will be at Minnesota.
