Gonzaga on Feb. 15 · enjoyed a five-game hitting streak from March 15-23 · went 6-for-11 with four RBIs at Michigan on April 5-7 · enjoyed a seven-game hitting streak from April 16-28 · went 1-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs at Oklahoma on April 19 · drew a team season-high four walks vs. Ohio State on May 4 · homered in back-to-back games at Northwestern on May 16-17 · went 2-for-4 with three RBIs on a bases clearing triple vs. Ohio State in the Big Ten Tournament on May 25.

2018 SUMMER Helped lead the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders to a Northwoods League Championships · batted .317 with seven doubles, 24 RBIs, and 31 runs scored in 41 games during the regular season · scored a run in three games during the playoffs.

2018 | RS FRESHMAN Academic All-Big Ten · appeared in 19 games including nine starts · batted .282 with seven RBIs and 10 runs scored. Highlights: Earned his first collegiate hit and RBI with a 2-for-4 day against Creighton on March 10 · went 3-for-3 after pinch hitting at No. 9 TCU on March 17 · drove in three runs on two walks and a double, scoring a run in a start at Purdue on April 13 · came on as a defensive replacement against Ohio State in the Big Ten Tournament on May 26.

2017 SUMMER BASEBALL Played for the Rockford Rivets of the Northwoods League • had two hits and scored three runs during a seven-game day with Rockford.

2017 | FRESHMAN Trained with the Gophers but did not see game action in a redshirt season.

2016 SUMMER BASEBALL Played 11 games for the Rockford Rivets of the Northwoods League • had a .244 batting average with one home run, six RBIs and scored three runs.

HIGH SCHOOL Graduated from Geneva High School in 2016 • earned four letters in baseball and two letters in football • was all-conference and all-area the last two seasons • had a .413 batting average with 18 RBIs his junior season • led the team with 16 stolen bases and had a .509 on-base percentage • graduated with honors.

PERSONAL Majoring in business & marketing education • son of Susan and Mark Wassel • has two siblings: Teague (21) and Paige (24) • lists a football game his senior season where he had seven receptions for 167 yards, two touchdowns and the game winning touchdown as his most memorable sports thrill • enjoys music.
