2015 · SENIOR SEASON:
Started 45 of his 49 games played · made 40 starts at third base, four in left field and one at second base · hit .246 with 21 runs and 24 RBIs · had three four-RBI games · led the Gophers with three triples and added seven doubles and four home runs · tied for the team lead with 15 RBIs in conference play · Academic All-Big Ten. Game Highlights: Had a hit in all four games at Texas (2/20-2/22) · went 2-for-5 at Creighton (3/7) with a run and a walk · 1-for-3 with a triple and two runs in the series finale (3/8) · hit his first home run of the season vs. James Madison (3/13) · hit another home run and had two runs and two RBIs in a 2-for-4 game at VCU (3/16) · drove in four runs, scored two and hit a home run at Richmond (3/17), going 2-for-5 · hit 3-for-5 with four RBI at Maryland (3/21) · went 2-for-4 with a run and four RBIs vs. Northwestern (3/27) · batted 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI at Rutgers (4/4) · hit 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI vs. North Dakota State (4/14) · 2-for-5 with a double against UC Irvine (5/2) · homered against Michigan State (5/15) · 2-for-3 in the season finale (5/16).
2014 · JUNIOR SEASON:
Received the Gophers' Richard "Chief" Siebert Most Valuable Player Award · hit .272 with a team-leading 30 RBIs · led the team and ranked 10th in the Big Ten with 15 doubles · hit two home runs on the season · tied for team lead with four three-hit games · started 42 of 46 games he played, spending time in left field, in center field, at second base and at third base · second on the team with a .396 slugging percentage · hit .275 in 91 Big Ten at-bats · hit 3-for-6 with a home run, two doubles, three runs and three RBIs at St. Mary's (3/18) · added another double, two runs and two RBIs in the second game (3/19) · drove in Gophers' only two runs with a double in win vs. Northwestern (3/23) · had three RBIs and three hits in an extra-innings win over Michigan (4/4) · was 3-for-4 with an RBI and a double in a mid-week game at South Dakota State (4/9) · had two RBIs at Florida State (5/3) · hit game-tying home run in bottom of the ninth vs. Purdue, and the Gophers went on to win (5/10-11) · had two hits and two runs in two Big Ten Tournament games (5/21-22) · Academic All-Big Ten.
2013 · SOPHOMORE SEASON:
Was named to the Academic All-Big Ten Team · played in 32 games and batted .237 in 59 at-bats · reached base in five straight games (3/22-30) · started at second base 17 times · in 80 chances produced a .988 fielding percentage and turned nine double plays · came into a game a substitute 15 times (fourth on the team) · set a career high in slugging percentage (.356) · went 1-4 with an RBI and a run in an Opening Day win over UCLA (2/15) · doubled and scored a run in a start against Western Michigan (2/22) · hit his first career triple in a 2-3 performance with a run scored against Utah (3/2) · walked and doubled in a 5-1 against Western Illinois (3/9) · produced an RBI while going 1-3 in the first game of a double header against Michigan (3/30) · hit a game-winning solo homerun against Ohio St. (4/7) · walked twice and scored once in a 4-1 win over Augsburg.
2012 · FRESHMAN SEASON:
Earned his first letter when he played in 35 games and started in 26 · batted .192 in his rookie campaign · had 49 putouts and 69 assists · had five RBI, eight runs scored in 78 at bats · saw action in 11 Big Ten games · in first collegiate at bat, hit a double and a RBI against St. John's (2/18) · went 2-6 with a RBI in the win over Hamline (3/7) · had a hit in each game of the Cal Poly series and scored a run (3/19) · had a career-high game against Nebraska-Omaha (4/17) when he went 3-3 with three runs scored, a RBI, a walk and two stolen bases · walked and scored a run in the extra-inning win over Michigan State (4/21) · hit doubles in back-to-back games against Iowa (4/28-29) · scored two runs and went 1-1 with a career-high three walks in the final game at Siebert Field (5/1).
HIGH SCHOOL:
Graduated from Eden Prairie High School · high school coaches were Mike Halloran and Scott Hackett · helped the Eagles to a Minnesota state championship in 2010 · also Lake Conference and Section 2AAA champions in 2010 · selected to play in the Lion's All-Star Tournament · all-state with the Eagles in 2011 · named all-conference honoree his sophomore, junior and senior season · letterwinner in both baseball and wrestling · starter for the Eden Prairie Legion team that was national runner-ups in 2010 and national champions in 2011 · hit a double, a triple and knocked in four RBI en route to the Legion championship.

Business and Marketing Education major · son of Alan and Stacy Skjefte · brother, Lucas, plays baseball for Minnesota State University, Mankato · likes to hunt and fish · lists winning the 2011 American Legion World Series as his most memorable sports thrill.
