Minnesota Opens Fall Season at Bearcat Invitational

CINCINNATI, Ohio – The University of Minnesota men's golf team begins the
2026-27 campaign at the Bearcat Invitational, hosted by the University of
Cincinnati at Coldstream Country Club. The two-day tournament runs Sept. 14-15
and features a 17-team field from across the country.
Competition begins Monday with 36 holes and a 9 a.m. ET shotgun start. The
tournament concludes Tuesday with the final 18 holes, also beginning at 9 a.m. ET.
Live scoring will be available throughout the event through Scoreboard by Clippd.
The Golden Gophers enter the fall season looking to build on a strong 2025-26
campaign that included a team title at the Robert Kepler Invitational and multiple
top-three finishes throughout the year.
Lineup
Minnesota's lineup for the season-opening event consists of juniors Chun-Ta Wu
Galloway, who is making his collegiate debut.
The Field
The Gophers will compete against Augusta, Chattanooga, Cincinnati, Furman, Iowa
State, Kentucky, Liberty, Little Rock, Louisville, Maryland, Memphis, Nebraska, Sam
Houston, TCU, UCF and Xavier.
The Course
Coldstream Country Club will serve as the championship venue. The par-71 layout
measures 7,279 yards and features expansive fairways, strategic bunkering and
recently renovated playing corridors following a 2021 course update.
