Houston Dash Acquire Khyah Harper for 2026 Season

Harper will join the Houston Dash for the remainder of the 2026 season and could make her Dash debut this weekend when the club hosts Gotham
MINNEAPOLIS - Khyah Harper will join the Houston Dash on a free transfer from Gotham FC, both clubs announced today.
Harper arrives in Houston after winning three major trophies since starting her professional career with Gotham FC in 2025. She was a member of the squad that won the 2024-25 Concacaf W Champions Cup, securing a spot in the inaugural FIFA Women's Champions Cup this year. Harper also helped Gotham win the 2026 NWSL Challenge Cup after winning the 2025 NWSL Championship.
The Lino Lakes, Minn., native made her debut against the Orlando Pride on March 23, 2025 and has made 17 appearances. In her first league start against the Chicago Stars on Aug. 2, 2025, she scored her first NWSL goal.
Harper became the third Gopher to sign with an NWSL team, following in the footsteps of April Bockin (2019: No. 31 pick by Chicago) and Rashida Beal (2017: No. 35 pick by Kansas City).
The 2024 United Soccer Coaches All-American and Big Ten Forward of the Year notched 17 goals, six assists and 40 points during her senior campaign. She is the only Gopher to score three hat tricks in a season. Harper ended the 2024 regular season leading the country in points per game (2.22) and total points (40). She also made her mark in the University's record book as she ranks third in single-season goals (17), first in game-winning goals (6) and fifth in points (40).
The MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist helped Minnesota earn its first bid to host the first round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament since 2016 and first bid since 2018. She helped lead the Gophers to make a run to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2010. The Maroon & Gold fell to eventual College Cup champion North Carolina 3-0.
