MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota soccer team continues its Big Ten conference schedule this weekend to take on Northwestern. The Golden Gophers and Wildcats will kick off on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT live on B1G+.

The Wildcats opened conference play with a split weekend, picking up three points in their Big Ten opener over Michigan, 1-0. They fell to No. 14 Wisconsin 2-0, with both goals coming off set piece plays.
Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Week
Martin was named Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.
The honor marks the second weekly award of Martin's career. She was previously named Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Week on Oct. 14, 2025.
The Champlin, Minnesota, native picked up her 14th individual career shutout against No. 25 Iowa on Thursday, her second of the season. Her performance helped Minnesota defeat its first ranked opponent since beating No. 14 South Carolina 2-1 in the NCAA Tournament on Nov. 22, 2024.
Over the weekend, Martin faced 40 shots, 22 against Iowa and 18 against Penn State, allowing only one goal to the Nittany Lions. She made 13 total saves, including six in the shutout of Iowa and a season-high seven at Penn State.
