Widerstrom, Chen Garner Big Ten Postseason Honors

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN - University of Minnesota diver Elna Widerstrom and head diving coach Wenbo Chen were named Big Ten Women's Diver of the Year and Big Ten Women's Diving Coach of the Year, as announced by the conference this afternoon.
Widerstrom had a standout junior season for the Gophers, tallying her first career individual Big Ten title in the 1-meter springboard. The Lund, Sweden native finished in seventh overall on the 1-meter and third overall on the 3-meter at the 2026 NCAA Championships, tallying All-American honors in both events.
Chen earns his 11th career Big Ten Diving Coach of the Year honor, helping lead the women's maroon and gold divers to a pair of First Team All Big Ten honors and five All-American performances at this year's NCAA Championships. Chen was also named the CSCAA Diving Coach of the Year last week.
