The Gophers (12-4, 7-2 B1G) finished second in the Big Ten regular season standings this year, trailing only UCLA (9-0 B1G). Michigan and Michigan State both tied with 6-3 league records. The Gophers fell head-to-head against UCLA on Feb. 7 but defeated both Michigan and Michigan State at home.

2026 IN REVIEW
- The Minnesota gymnastics team enters Saturday's meet with a 12-4 (7-2 B1G) record. They've competed against a difficult schedule so far, but have posted a 6-2 record against top-25 ranked teams.
- After going 1-1 in their first meet at No. 5 Utah and vs. Iowa, Minnesota took down consecutive top-10 ranked opponents in No. 10 Arkansas and No. 5 Michigan at home. They also won Feb. 14 at No. 16 PSU for their first road win.
- Following a loss at NU on Jan. 24, Minnesota won consecutive 197+ performances with a 197.050 win over Iowa and a 197.275 in a defeat to No. 5 UCLA.
- The Gophers defeated Washington in their meet on Feb. 20, winning 196.950-196.300 to earn their second straight road win.
- Minnesota had its second-best performance of the season March 1 at the Big 4, scoring a Big Ten-best 197.700. Bars, beam and floor had their best scores of the season and Arianna Ostrum won the all-around, bars and floor titles.
- The 'U' fell at North Carolina on March 6, 197.200-196.925. Ostrum won the all-around title while Lyden won on beam. Minnesota struggled on vault and floor during the meet but had a great beam performance (49.475).
- March 15 was the performance of the season with a 197.825. Arianna Ostrum hit a perfect 10 on vault and won vault, floor, AA titles, Lyden won on bars/beam and Slevin tied for the bars title with a 9.950.
- The 'U' holds 38 event titles this year across 11 meets, led by freshman Arianna Ostrum with 12 and junior Jordyn Lyden with 10.
- Minnesota ranks 13th overall in the Road to Nationals rankings, placing 17th on vault, 17th on bars, 8th on beam and 14th on the floor.
- The 'U' is 9-1 at home this year, 2-3 on the road and 1-0 at neutral sites. In Big Ten competitions, they're 2-1 at home and 1-1 on the road thus far.

BIG TEN CHAMPIONSHIPS HISTORY
- Minnesota has won six Big Ten Championships in program history (1988, 1989, 1991, 1998, 2006, 2021). Minnesota's last Big Ten title came at home inside Maturi Pavilion. In 2006, the Gophers won the title in East Lansing, Mich.
- In coach Hansen's previous 11 years in charge of the program, the Gophers have finished in the top five at Big Ten's seven times. Minnesota took home its first Big Ten title in 15 years in 2021 (197.750). In 2025 the team placed third and in 2024 they took second. In 2023 they were third and in 2022 Minnesota was fourth.
- Now assistant coach Mya Hooten won three Big Ten floor titles (2022-24), vault titles (2023-24) and a bars title (2024).
- Senior Sarah Moraw took home her first Big Ten title in 2024, tying for the beam championship after posting a score of 9.925.

- Former Gopher Lindsay Mable (2013-16) holds the Minnesota record for most Big Ten titles with eight while Lexy Ramler (2018-22) and Marie Roethlisberger (1987-90) hold seven. Hooten (2021-25) and Robin Huebner (1980-83) have six each and the next closest have two.
- Last year was the first year since 2017 where Minnesota didn't have a Big Ten individual champion.
2025 BIG TEN CHAMPIONSHIPS
- The No. 15 Minnesota gymnastics team took third place at the 2025 Big Ten Championships with a score of 197.425.
- The Gophers earned 49.150 on vault, 49.325 on bars, 49.525 on beam and 49.425 on floor. The beam score was a season-best and tied for the eighth-best beam score in program history. It was their second best beam performance in the last five seasons.
- Jordyn Lyden tied for the bars event title in Session III with a score of 9.950 with Frida Esparza of UCLA. She was the only Gopher to make the Big Ten All-Championships Team.
SENIOR DAY RECAP
- No. 13 Minnesota took home three victories Sunday iat Maturi Pavilion. The Gophers (197.825) outlasted No. 20 Iowa (196.375), Illinois (195.150) and Northern Illinois (191.400). Minnesota's score was its fourth best in program history and topped its prior best of the season (197.700).
- The 'U' scored 49.450 on vault, 49.325 on bars, 49.500 on beam and 49.550 on the floor. Its vault and floor scores were its best of the season.
- Arianna Ostrum won the all-around title with a career-best 39.675. She won on vault with her first career perfect 10 while Jordyn Lyden and Emma Slevin tied for the bars title at 9.950. Lyden also won the beam title with a 9.950. Ostrum won on the floor with a career-best 9.975.
- We have to figure out what we can do to create the feelings we have here at home to be able to perform at a high level on the road. We've had some good discussions with the team and feel really good going into next weekend. I think having a practice day ahead of time and being able to use the equipment will be good for us," she said.
GOPHERS FINISH SECOND IN BIG TEN STANDINGS
- Picked to finish fourth in the Big Ten Preseason Poll, Minnesota finished second in the Big Ten standings (7-2) behind only UCLA (9-0). Michigan and Michigan (6-3) finished tied for third behind Minnesota. The Gophers defeated No. 5 Michigan on Jan. 17 and No. 11 MSU on March 1.
- Minnesota will compete in Session III at the Big Ten Championships, a 5 p.m. CT start in Champaign, Ill., on Saturday, March 21. UCLA, Michigan and Michigan State will also be in the session. Minnesota has made the night session of Big Ten's the past three seasons.
WCGA AND ROAD TO NATIONALS RANKINGS
- After week 11, Minnesota stayed at No. 13 (196.843 avg.) in the Road to Nationals rankings. The Gophers rank 17th on vault (49.136 avg.), 17th on bars (49.132 avg.), 8th on beam (49.266 avg.), and 15th on floor (49.309 avg.).
- As it stands today as the 13-seed, Minnesota is projected to be in a regional with No. 4 Alabama, No. 5 UCLA and No. 12 Utah.
- Minnesota began 2026 ranked No. 15 in the WCGA Preseason poll. They ranked behind only No. 4 UCLA, No. 6 Michigan St. and No. 14 Michigan in the Big Ten. Currently, UCLA is 5th, Michigan is 8th and Michigan State is 11th.
ROAD TO NATIONALS INDIVIDUAL RANKINGS
- Nationally, Minnesota has six gymnasts ranked in the top-50 of events this season.
- Jordyn Lyden ranks 34th on bars (9.877 avg.), 19th on beam (9.852 avg.) and 51st on the floor (9.877 avg.). She ranks 6th, 4th and 11th in the B1G on those events, respectively.
- Emma Slevin is 52nd nationally on bars (9.836 avg.) and 8th in the Big Ten.
- Teryn Crump ranks 45th on vault (9.837 avg.), that mark puts her at No. 8 in the Big Ten.
- Sarah Moraw ranks 33rd nationally on beam (9.855 avg.) and 7th in the Big Ten. Brookyln Rowray is 41st nationally (9.818) and 10th in the B1G.
- Arianna Ostrum ranks 38th nationally all-around (39.275 avg.), 45th on vault (9.841 avg.) and 51st on floor (9.836 avg.). She ranks 8th in the Big Ten on vault, 11th all-around and on floor, and 20th on beam.
EVENT TITLES APLENTY FOR THE 'U'
- So far in 2026, the 'U' holds 38 event titles. 'U' athletes have won nine on vault, eight on bars, five on beam, 13 on floor and three all-around.
- Arianna Ostrum leads the way with 12 while Jordyn Lyden is up next with 10. Nine athletes have won at least one title and seven have taken home multiple awards.
- In 2025, Minnesota won 47 event titles. That included 11 vault, 13 bars, 12 beam and 11 floor.
FOUR GOPHERS NAMED TO ALL-BIG TEN TEAMS IN 2025
- Gopher gymnasts Jordyn Lyden, Sarah Moraw and Arianna Ostrum were named to the All-Big Ten teams, the conference announced. Jordyn Lyden and Ostrum earned first team honors while Sarah Moraw was named to the second team. Senior Brooklyn Rowray was Minnesota's Big Ten Sportsmanship Award honoree.
- In addition to making the All-Big Ten First Team, Ostrum was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team.
