Lions Shut Out Gophers, 3–0, in St. Charles

ST. CHARLES, Mo. — Lindenwood's pitching staff combined to throw a shutout Wednesday as the Lions defeated the Minnesota Golden Gophers, 3–0.

Macy Richardson (3-5) took the loss in the circle for Minnesota (9-16). The right-hander worked 2.2 innings in relief, allowing three runs — none earned — on one hit with one walk and three strikeouts.

Natalie Susa started the game for the Gophers and delivered three scoreless innings, allowing one hit while walking one and striking out one.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Minnesota was unable to capitalize on its opportunities, finishing 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position in the shutout loss. The Gophers' best chance came in the fourth inning when Tinley Easton advanced to third base with two outs, but Minnesota could not bring the run home.
