Gophers Stay Perfect With 4-3 Win Over Colorado State

2/8/2026 4:27:00 PM | Tennis

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The University of Minnesota tennis team defeated Colorado State 4-3 on Sunday afternoon to improve to 6-0 on the season.

Quote from Coach Arterberry
"This week we spent a lot of time in training preparing for the altitude, and it was definitely an adjustment for us," head coach Lois Arterberry said. "We played through adversity this weekend, and while it wasn't easy, we got the job done. I'm really proud of how the girls fought through those three-set matches and came out on top. We had players step up and compete for the team, and we also played well in doubles, winning the doubles point in both matches, which shows we're improving in that area. We're excited for what's ahead as we take on Alabama, Colorado and Drake next weekend. Those will be three very tough matches, so we'll get back to work, keep our heads down and continue preparing for the Big Ten season."
