FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
1.
Minnesota (3-1, 1-0 B1G) heads out on the road when it travels to top-ranked Ohio State (4-0, 0-0) for the team's Big Ten road opener Saturday. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. on NBC and the Gopher Radio Network.

2. The Golden Gophers trailed 14-0 in the second quarter Saturday against Rutgers before rallying for a 31-28 victory. With records dating to 1973, the 14-point comeback tied for the third largest in program history, and it was the team's biggest comeback win since a 28-24 win at Nebraska in 2014 where Minnesota was down 21-7 in the second quarter. The only bigger comebacks came in 1979 against Indiana when the team was down 24-0 before a 32-31 win and a 1986 game versus Northwestern where a 17-0 deficit turned into a 44-23 win. Saturday was also the largest comeback win at home for Minnesota since an 18-17 win over Illinois in 1992, a game that saw Minnesota down 17-3 with 14:56 remaining in the contest.

3. In Saturday's comeback win over Rutgers Saturday, Drake Lindsey had one of the top performances turned in by a Gopher quarterback. He was 31-of-41 for 324 yards and three touchdowns, all career-highs, with no interceptions to earn Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors. Lindsey's 31 completions tied for fifth-most in a single game and were the most since Adam Weber completed 31 versus Northern Illinois in  2010. In addition, Lindsey's 324 passing yards were the most since Tanner Morgan threw for 368 yards at Iowa in 2019. In the third quarter alone, Lindsey was 15-of-19 for 120 yards and a touchdown. The 15 completions were four more than any Gopher QB has had in any quarter since at least 2019, while the 19 attempts tied for the most in any quarter. More on Lindsey can be found on Page 4 of the notes.

4. As noted above, the trip to Ohio State marks the first road game of the season within the conference for Minnesota. It is 61-67-9 all-time in road openers, including a 4-4 mark under head coach P.J. Fleck. Saturday is also the first Big Ten road game of the season for Minnesota. It is 45-73-8 all-time in B1G road openers, including a 3-5 mark under Fleck. This will be the 11th time that Buckeyes serve as Minnesota's league opener away from home, last happening in 2008. Ohio State has prevailed in eight of the 10 previous matchups.

5. The 2025 campaign is the ninth for P.J. Fleck at Minnesota, making him the fifth-longest tenured coach in program history. His record stands at 61-40, putting him fifth in program history in overall wins and games coached (101), in addition to ranking fourth in Big Ten wins (35). Fleck's .604 win percentage is third best among Minnesota coaches with at least 45 games under their helm behind only Henry L. Williams (.786, 1900-21) and Bernie Bierman (.716, 1932-41, '45-50). In his 13th season overall as a college head coach, Fleck is 91-62 (.595).
