NORMAN, Okla. - Eduardo Galdos, Bennett Swavely, and Jack Wetzel from the Golden Gophers men's golf team were recognized as NCAA Division I Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars for the 2024-25 season, it was announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America Tuesday. In total, 556 NCAA Division I student-athletes from 190 schools across the country earned the honor.

The Lima, Peru, native fired a career-low round of 7-under-par (64) at The Meadow Club in the final round of the Alister MacKenzie Invitational (Oct. 8) and finished inside the top 20 at three events in 2024-25. A product of Hudson, Wis., he posted the lowest round of his tenure with a 6-under-par (65) at The Meadow Club in round three at the Alister MacKenzie Invitational (Oct. 8), closing the tournament with three rounds under par and a 13th-place result. Swavely was a Business and Marketing Education major and earned the distinction of being an All-America Scholar for the second-straight year.
Wetzel closed his junior campaign with the Gophers by competing in eight events and registered a 75.6 scoring average in 24 rounds. The Edina, Minn., native carded his lowest round of the season in the second round of the Tommie Invitational (Sept. 30) from StoneRidge Golf Club when he shot a 1-under-par (71). Majoring in Marketing while on campus, Wetzel was also given the Big Ten Conference Sportsmanship Award, while earning a spot on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team this year.
