MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Junior Sydney Schwartz was dealing on Friday, hurling a three-hit shutout to lead the Minnesota Golden Gophers (20-28, 5-15 B1G) over the Michigan Wolverines (32-19, 9-11 B1G) 4-0.

Schwartz (10-14) went the distance for Minnesota, giving up three hits, walking one and striking out five.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Gophers took the lead for good in the first, scoring for the first time in the inning. Minnesota plated two runs when senior Taylor Krapf left the yard with senior Margaret Tobias aboard.

The Gophers also added runs in the second and fifth innings on the way to the 4-0 victory.

» Schwartz tossed a three-hit shutout for the Gophers.
