BALTIMORE, Md. - Senior Eduardo Galdos and freshman Jack Crousore lead the University of Minnesota men's golf team through the first round of the Big Ten Conference Championships Friday in Baltimore, Md.

The Maroon and Gold finished the first round of play tied for sixth with a score of one-over par. Illinois leads after day one with a score of 10-under par.

Notable:
Carding a 2-under 68, senior Eduardo Galdos nabbed four birdies and a hole-in-one at the par-3 7th in his first day of competition. Galdos concluded the day tied for eighth.

Crousore tallied three birdies in his first 18 holes of competition. The Gopher freshman finished the day tied for 14th with a 1-under 69.

Nabbing three birdies in their first round, junior Cormac Sharpe (72) and freshman Chun-Ta Wu (72) finished the day tied for 41st.

Senior Bennett Swavely concluded the first round with a 3-over 73, placing him in a tie for 58th.
