Maroon and Gold Wrap Up Play At Robert Kepler Invitational

MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota men's golf team concluded the final round of the Robert Kepler Invitational Saturday in Columbus, Ohio. 

The Gophers finished the 54-hole tournament in seventh-place with a score of 50-over par (300-300-302). 

Big Ten rival and host-Ohio State, captured the title with a score of 24-over par. Cal-Poly's Baron Szeto earned medalist honors with a score of 5-under par. 

Notable: 
In his third time leading the Gophers this season, senior Eduardo Galdos led the team with a score of 11-over par (74-76-74). Galdos concluded the tournament tied for 19th place overall. 

Junior Jack Wetzel (76-74-78) and freshman Jack Crousore (73-81-74) finished the tournament tied for 33rd with a score of 15-over par. 

Senior Bennett Swavely (77-73-79) and sophomore Kyler Schwamb (78-74-77), who competed as an individual, concluded the tournament tied for 38th, with a score of 16-over par. 

Freshman Chun-Ta Wu finished tied for 47th with a score of 18-over par (78-77-76). 

Looking Ahead: 
With the regular season now complete, Minnesota turns its attention to the Big Ten Championships, April 25-27, at Baltimore Country Club in Baltimore, Md.
