Del Angel, Bennett Earn Additional NCAA Bids on Final Day of Zone Diving Championships

IOWA CITY, Iowa - Gopher divers Vivi Del Angel and Drew Bennett each added platform diving to their 2025 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships schedules after a successful final day of the Zone D Diving Championships.
Del Angel, who already secured NCAA bids for the 1 and 3-meter dives, completes her sweep of events, notching a third place finish with a total score of 623.70 after Wednesday's platform finals.
Bennett, who previously qualified for the men's 1-meter on Monday, finished sixth in the platform finals with a total score of 734.20.
Three other Gophers dove on Tuesday, each finishing outside the finals-qualifying placement.
Braylon Goodno finished 10th in the men's platform finals with a 690.60, while Kate LaMonica finished 14th in the women's finals, recording a score of 496.10.
Additionally, Gabby Mauder placed 19th in the women's platform prelims, notching a 235.40.
Washington State University will serve as host of the 2025 NCAA Championships. The women's meet will run from March 19-22, while the men's meet is set for March 26-29. Both sets of championships will be held at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center.
